たてしな藍 Tateshina Ai
- Nagano > Tateshina ・ Shirakaba Lake ・ Kurumayama
- Tateshina Onsen
In the west side of Yatsugatake mountains there is a Tateshina plateau where many tourists visit throughout the year. Tateshina Ai is waiting for you calmly in that plateau. The buiding is a Kyoto design (Sukiya) and rooms are spacious. The spaciousness blurs boundary between internal and external space in this building infused with the spirit of Japanese architecture. The concept of "homemade kaiseki banquets" began when the inn opened and is carried on today under the name "Yamami cuisine". The specialty of this cuisine is in the delicate tastes from vegetables and fish. The hot spring is very gentle so you will be relaxed as never before. In addition there is also a workshop in the elegant art of indigo dying. You will enjoy the contrast of green of the woods and indigo blue. We invite you to spend a happy time in the this quiet hidden inn on the plateau 1150m in elevation.
