“Good hot water, good taste, good view.” Ikaho Takagishi Ryokan, founded in 1576, is located in the middle of Ikaho's famous stone street, overlooking the nature of Jomo Sanzan. Boasting golden hot water that flows completely from the source without any circulation or water addition. It is characterized by the fact that iron contained in hot water comes into contact with air and oxidizes to a unique brown color, which is said to be effective against neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, hemorrhoids, coldness, and chronic dermatitis. Meals aiming to please you with "good taste" use plenty of local ingredients. In the evening, we will offer a Japanese Kaiseki-zen course and a buffet in the morning, making use of ingredients from the four seasons. Please enjoy a healthy and simple taste in a relaxed atmosphere of the Taisho romance. In March 2020, 20 rooms on the 6th and 7th floors were renovated to be Japanese-style rooms with beds. Especially on a sunny day, the time to watch the sunset illuminating the mountains is exceptional, so be sure to check out the best view in Ikaho. In the land of Ikaho full of history and nature, we look forward to being part of your next great trip.
