The pine tree has been respected as a sacred tree since ancient times. We then combined it with the character which represents vitality to create Matsunomidori. Working with our theme 'Real Japan, Two People', our lodging is a calm space. Spend time with those that are most special to you in a room that matches modern people to the harmony of Japan. With the Nanao Bay before you, let its gently rolling waves relax you. The Wakura hot spring continues to flow even after 1200 years. From Matsunomidori's open-air bath you can smell the salty breeze and feel like you are becoming one with the ocean. After you finish relaxing, dine on our wonderful cuisine, harvested from the Sea of Japan. Kutani ware, Washima lacquering, and Matsunomidori's own original dinnerware are used to add to the glow of the cuisine. The Kado Isaburou Art Museum houses lacquer craftwork, the Tearoom offers an authentic tea ceremony, and the Park Garden displays the national treasure, 'The Pine Forest Folding Screen.' Beautiful scenery and historic hot springs. Exquisite meals and a number of traditional crafts: You will be surrounded by valuable objects during your stay here.
